US Open semi-finals and finals
The Grand Slam season started with Aryna Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina facing off in Melbourne, and it'll come to a close with the same pair going head-to-head in the US Open women's final on Saturday.
Rybakina, who is set to become the new world number one on Monday, displacing Sabalenka, came out on top in the Australian Open final back in January, and will want another Grand Slam to her name in 2026.
On the other hand, the Belarusian could go a year without winning a major and will be desperate to avoid that reality. She has struggled to find her best form in recent months, but a truly stellar semi-final performance helped her reach an eighth straight hard-court Grand Slam final, showing her prowess on this surface.
It has become one of the best rivalries in women's tennis, with Sabalenka leading the head-to-head 10-7.
Meanwhile, the men's tournament is at the semi-finals stage, and it is a land of opportunity for all four players with Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner not around.
Top seed and Roland Garros champion Alexander Zverev faces a tricky test against Karen Khachanov on Friday evening, before a blockbuster night clash between Americans Ben Shelton and Frances Tiafoe.
The winners of both semi-finals will face off on Sunday, and it is guaranteed that an American will have a shot to end a 23-year wait for a major champion.
It is going to be a thrilling final three days at Flushing Meadows, as Grand Slam champions will be crowned.

Spanish Grand Prix - 15:00 CET
It's always exciting when Formula 1 heads to a new circuit, and this year's new circuit is Madrid's Madring.
The Spanish capital hasn't hosted an F1 race in 45 years, and has never done so at this track, with the street circuit being constructed and used for the very first time this weekend.
That puts the teams and drivers in completely unknown territory and thus could shake things up, especially given they'll have to deal with low grip, high-speed sections and tricky turns, including a huge banked corner called La Monumental.
In fact, it's widely expected to be one of the most difficult F1 tracks in years. Drivers have expressed fears and concerns, and Williams team boss James Vowles has dubbed it a "track that kills cars" after a Formula 3 test that featured a whopping 19 red flags and stoppages caused by accidents.
Even so, it would take a brave man to bet against Kimi Antonelli mastering it. The young Italian's remarkable season reached a new level last time out, with him claiming victory from the very back of the field on home turf at Monza, and another triumph would very much make a champion in waiting - his lead would be 73 points at the very least.
That being said, he'll most likely face threats other than just teammate George Russell. Reigning champion Lando Norris claimed victory at two relatively similar circuits in Hungary and the Netherlands earlier this season, and a Ferrari that's strong in corners could be well-suited to the layout.
If the circuit is as notorious as expected, though, it may be a weekend that's more about survival than speed.

Manchester United vs Manchester City - 17:30 CET
The Manchester derby is always a game supporters of both clubs and neutrals look forward to before the season begins, and in 2026/27, we have only had to wait a few weeks for the first derby of the season. This is also the first time Michael Carrick and Enzo Maresca have met.
So it will be fascinating to see how Maresca's possession-based style fares against Carrick's United, who have proven to be most dangerous on the counter-attack.
It is also a story of two new midfields after both United and City underwent major summer rebuilds in the middle of the pitch. Man City's cost a lot more than Man United's, but that was always going to be the case when signing Enzo Fernandez and Elliot Anderson.
How Anderson and Fernandez do against United's new-look midfield, likely to include Youri Tielemans, will be the first big acid test of whether their lofty price tags are justified.
After four wins from four since losing the Community Shield, City have made an impressive start to the campaign. United meanwhile have dropped points at Hull and Everton as well as thrashing Ipswich and Sabah in what has been a far more mixed start to their season.
But as history tells us, form and personnel can often mean little on derby day, as pride, emotion and an intimidating atmosphere take over, and logic and reason are left somewhere on the journey from the Etihad to Old Trafford.

Elversberg vs Bayern - 17:30 CET
A fairy-tale rise in modern football is a rare beast, so when a team like Elversberg come along, people quickly take notice.
Three promotions in four years have seen them shoot up the German pyramid, from the regional leagues into the big time - the Bundesliga.
They haven't arrived to make up the numbers either. Two wins from two, both thrillers, have seen them start well in the German top flight, but this weekend they face the ultimate test - Bayern Munich.
The dominant force in Germany arrives off the back of a comfortable 5-0 win over Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League, but a draw to Schalke in their last league fixture sees them, astonishingly, behind Sunday's opponents in the standings.
Elversberg are playing some swashbuckling football, and at home, in a stadium that would have seats left over if every person in the town came to the game, they are likely to keep up their attacking philosophy.
This is the marquee game for them, and a win for the hosts would dispel any thought they are destined for the drop. In reality, anything other than a Bayern victory would be a shock, but Elversberg seem to be the team ready to provide it.
With goals almost guaranteed, you won't want to miss the first meeting between these two sides.

Green Bay Packers @ Minnesota Vikings - 22:25 CET
The Packers are travelling to Minnesota (-1.5) in what will be just one of four division rivalry matchups for Week 1. It’ll be the first time both teams have played each other in the first week since September 11th, 2022.
And, surprisingly, matchups in Minnesota haven’t boded well for the Packers despite owning the historic series with a 67-61-3 record. They split the season series last year, with the losing team failing to score more than six points. However, Green Bay are 1-4 at Minnesota dating back to 2021.
Entering this game, the Vikings have the biggest headline. They signed quarterback Kyler Murray after he was released by the Arizona Cardinals, and it didn’t take long for him to snatch the starting role from last year’s starter, J.J. McCarthy, who is now the third stringer on the Vikings' depth behind veteran Carson Wentz.
Murray is 3-2-1 all-time in Week 1 matchups, with his recent two (2022, 2024) resulting in a loss. And the last time the Vikings played the Packers in Week 1 (2020), they lost 43-34. This Week 1 matchup could possibly be a tone-setter for the Vikings one way or another.
