A day after Novak Djokovic was knocked out of the Madrid Open, there's a real chance of more upsets, with a number of top players facing tough tests today.

16:10 CET - Another upset on this Sunday in Madrid as one of the favourites to win the tournament, Jessica Pegula, has been knocked out in straight sets by Moyuka Uchijima, who won 6-3, 6-2 to stun the third seed.

15:42 CET - Anastasia Potapova has come from a set down to battle to a big 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (8-6) victory against Sofia Kenin to book her place in the second week at Madrid.

14:43 CET - A heavyweight clash between Maria Sakkari and world number six Jasmine Paolini has been won by the former, who has comfortably prevailed 6-2, 6-1.

That's a big win for the Greek player as she looks to climb her way back up the rankings.

13:44 CET - Marta Kostyuk is the second winner on the women's side in Madrid today. She's beaten Veronika Kudermetova 6-0, 4-6, 6-4 to move into the fourth round.

13:09 CET - Women's top seed and world number one Aryna Sabalenka has come back to beat Elise Mertens 3-6, 6-2, 6-1 and book her place in the last 16 in Madrid.
