It's a dream men's final at the Rome Masters today, with home favourite Jannik Sinner taking on Carlos Alcaraz in the latest instalment of their burgeoning rivalry. Meanwhile, several warm-up tournaments for the French Open get underway, including Hamburg, Strasbourg and Geneva.

19:12 CET - Carlos Alcaraz has won the title in Rome! The second set was a lot more comfortable for the world number three as he took control of the final to win 7-6 (7-5), 6-1 against Jannik Sinner

Alcaraz upped his level in the first set tiebreak and came out in the same vein from the start of the second as he broke Sinner's serve with ease.

A champions performance from Alcaraz who is now the favourite to win the French Open later this month.

18:43 CET - After an hour and 11 minutes, Carlos Alcaraz has taken the first set 7-6(5) in the Rome final. It wasn't always full of quality and both players made plenty of errors, but Alcaraz managed to  save two set points on his way to silencing the home crowd, who have been fully behind their Italian hero Jannik Sinner.

15:26 CET - We're a little over 90 minutes away from the men's showpiece in Rome, as Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz prepare to do battle for the first time competitively since their epic Beijing final in October 2024.

Alcaraz leads the head-to-head 6-4, but with Sinner producing some incredible tennis on his return to the Tour - including wins over Casper Ruud and Tommy Paul - it promises to be some spectacle in the Italian capital.
