There are four quarter-final spots still up for grabs in both Toronto and Montreal, and some of tennis' biggest names are among those seeking to claim them today.

08:15 CET - There was one last match in Toronto in the early hours of the morning, and it was the second seed, Taylor Fritz, who edged it after an epic battle against Jiri Lehecka.

Fritz was able to edge two out of three tiebreaks in an evenly matched and tense encounter to win 7-6 (7-4), 6-7 (5-7), 7-6 (7-5) and book a fascinating quarter-final encounter against Andrey Rublev.

03:55 CET - Elina Svitolina defeats Amanda Anisimova 6-4, 6-1. This is now Svitolina's fourth top-10 win of the year and her first-ever quarter-finals appearance at Montreal.

03:45 CET - Ben Shelton hangs on to defeat Flavio Cobolli 6-4, 4-6, 7-6. The American has now won 10 of his last 12 matches as he advances to his seventh quarter-final of the year and his fourth Masters quarter-final.

02:30 CET - 19-year-old Clara Tauson takes down the world's No. 3 Iga Swiatek in straight sets 7-6, 6-3! Tauson earns her first wins against Swiatek after losing the previous three meetings.

This is also Tauson's third top-10 win (31st total) of 2025 as she now advances to her second Masters quarterfinal.

00:03 CET - In a disappointing ending to what was an excellent match, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina has retired while trailing Andrey Rublev 3-0 in the final set, meaning the sixth seed moves into the last eight.

23:43 CET - We have a real marathon of a match on our hands in Toronto with Andrey Rublev and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina level at 6-7, 7-6 after two hours of play.

We'll be here throughout the night to bring you the outcome of that match as well as the ones involving Iga Swiatek, Ben Shelton, and Taylor Fritz.

22:19 CET - Naomi Osaka has claimed one of her most impressive wins in a long time, beating Anastasija Sevastova 6-1, 6-0 in just 50 minutes to move into the Montreal quarter-finals.

21:08 CET - Well, it's fair to say the day's action has started in style!

In Toronto, Alex De Minaur has seen off Frances Tiafoe in two hours and 26 minutes, digging deep after taking the first set comfortably to beat the American 6-2, 4-6, 6-4.

Things were equally as tight in the first clash of the day in Montreal, where Madison Keys fought back from a set down to edge past Karolina Muchova 4-6, 6-3, 7-5.
