Goalkeeper 

Vasilios Barkas (Utrecht) 9.8

Utrecht were indebted to goalkeeper Barkas over the weekend as Ron Jans' side battled to an impressive 2-2 draw at PSV Eindhoven in the Eredivisie.

The Greek shot-stopper produced a heroic performance between the sticks, making a remarkable 15 saves - the most by any keeper in a Dutch top-flight match since March 2018.

Defence

Abdelhamid Sabiri (Al Taawon) 9.1

Al Taawon leapfrogged Al Khaleej in the Saudi Pro League standings courtesy of a last-gasp 1-0 win on Saturday afternoon.

Sabiri was the goalscorer for the visitors on just his third appearance, firing a half-volley into the bottom corner to spark jubilant scenes in Dammam.

Arda Kizildag (Gaziantep) 8.7

Kizildag picked the perfect time to open his account for the season, heading home Deian Sorescu’s delivery to snatch a dramatic stoppage-time victory for Gaziantep.

The Turkish centre-back not only scored the game’s decisive goal, but he also won nine aerial duels and made a couple of key tackles at the back for his side.

Mohannad Abu Taha (Al Orubah) 9.2

Al Orubah moved six points clear of the relegation zone in the Saudi Pro League following a gritty 2-0 win against Al Kholood.

Abu Taha delivered an all-action display at left-back, making several key interceptions as well as getting his name on the scoresheet to secure the three points late on.

Midfield

Yankuba Minteh (Brighton) 9.1

Brighton earned a second victory over Chelsea in the space of six days after Minteh’s brace helped the Seagulls to an emphatic 3-0 triumph in the Premier League.

In addition to his two expertly-taken finishes, the Gambian provided a constant threat to the visitors’ backline, winning 12 duels and completing three key passes across his 89 minutes on the pitch.

Takumi Minamino (Monaco) 9.1

Having fallen to back-to-back defeats against PSG and Benfica in a damaging few days, Monaco rediscovered their best form over the weekend, thumping 10-man Nantes 7-1 in Ligue 1.

Japanese playmaker Minamino was directly involved in Monaco’s first three goals of the match, finding the net with a well-taken finish on the stroke of half-time to bag his fourth of the season.

Fabian Ruiz (Paris Saint-Germain) 8.9

PSG maintained their healthy 10-point advantage at the top of Ligue 1 with a hard-earned 1-0 victory at Toulouse on Saturday evening.

Ruiz was the match-winner for Luis Enrique’s side, tucking home from inside the six-yard box after Willian Pacho’s header cannoned off the bar.

Omar Marmoush (Manchester City) 9.9

It was a memorable weekend for Marmoush, who announced himself to the Premier League with a superb first-half hat-trick in Manchester City's 4-0 dismantling of Newcastle.

Having shown plenty of promise in his first few games for the club, the Egyptian opened the scoring with an exquisite lob over Martin Dubravka before adding two clinical strikes to complete his treble - earning a near-perfect 9.9 rating in the process.

Alanzinho (Moreirense) 9.2

Moreirense eased away from the relegation zone in the Portuguese top flight after hat-trick hero Alanzinho fired them to a 3-2 win over sixth-placed Casa Pia.

The Brazilian midfielder converted two penalties before the half-hour mark and then sealed his treble in style with a thunderous low effort from 25 yards.

Attack

Lukas Haraslin (Sparta Prague) 9.7

Sparta earned a third successive victory in the Chance Liga after recovering from 2-0 down inside the opening 10 minutes to battle past Karvina in a five-goal thriller.

Haraslin was the man responsible for the visitors' comeback, scoring three brilliant goals to move into double figures for the season across all competitions.

Mikel Merino (Arsenal) 9.0

A depleted Arsenal looked to be heading to costly dropped points at relegation-threatened Leicester as Mikel Arteta turned to central midfielder Merino with a little over 20 minutes remaining.

The Spaniard was deployed as a striker and repaid his manager's faith in spectacular fashion, breaking the deadlock with a clinical header before firing into the bottom corner to complete a match-winning cameo from the bench.
