HB Koge were pitted against reigning champions FC Barcelona among other teams when the draw was made for the league of the Champions League today at the UEFA headquarters

As expected, HB Koge’s women’s football team faces tough opposition in the Champions League group stage. In Friday’s draw, the Zealand-based team—nicknamed "the Swans"—was paired against the tournament’s defending champions, FC Barcelona.

It has been less than four months since Barcelona thrashed PSG 4–0 in the Champions League final.

In addition to the Spanish giants, HB Koge will face Arsenal, Benfica, Paris FC, Servette, and OH Leuven.

Nadia Nadim and her teammates will play each opponent once—either home or away.

Their three home matches will be against FC Barcelona, Benfica, and Servette, while Arsenal, Paris FC, and OH Leuven await them in away games.

The schedule of fixtures will be announced on Saturday.

Although it will be challenging for the Danish double-winners to rack up many points, the club can take heart in the fact that participation alone guarantees them €510.00—a number that could increase with sporting success.

The six rounds of the group stage begin on 22/23 September, with the final round taking place on 16 December.

The tournament’s 18 teams form a single large table, with the top 12 advancing to the knockout stage.
