After having only scored one goal in 11 matches, Brondby finally recovered their goalscoring form when they humiliated Sonderjyske on Friday night as they won 6-0 in front of a delirious crowd in Copenhagen

Brondby on Friday night returned to winning ways after a disastrous period, which has left them in sixth place in the Danish Superliga, when they scored six unanswered goals to defeat Sonderjyske at home.

After VAR had ruled out Brondby's opening goal after 14 minutes offside, the home side took the lead after 25 minutes when Mats Köhlert headed Sho Fukuda's long delivery across the face of the goal, where Jacob Ambaek left Sonderjyske keeper Nicolai Flo helpless with a well-placed header.

Brondby then doubled the lead against the defensive-minded visitors through a similar recipe when Köhlert again turned provider for Ambaek, who was left with an easy job to poke it over the line.

Five minutes before the interval, Brondby tripled their lead when a failed shot on goal from Fukuda landed at the feet of Nicolai Vallys, who had no trouble finding the net.

The goalfest then continued eight minutes after the break when Ambaek completed his hat-trick when Mads Frøkjaer lifted a long delivery towards the back post, and Ambaek struck a superbly timed volley past Flo.

Then, after 57 minutes, Ben Godfrey was left unmarked in the Sonderjyske box to make it 5-0 before Fukuda rounded off a superb performance when Frokjaer split open the Sonderjyske rearguard with a brilliant delivery, and Fukuda found space to the left of Flo to make it 6-0.
