RB Salzburg have signed the Danish Under-21 midfielder Clement Bischoff from Brondby.

19-year-old Clement Bischoff joined Brondby back in January 2022, and since then, the strong technician made his way up to the Under-19 team, while last season, he officially became part of the Superliga squad.

Since then, he has had 55 appearances for Brondby IF with three goals and 13 assists as a result.

Football director Benjamin Schmedes talks about the sale of Bischoff:

"We would very much have liked to keep and extend the contract with Clement. But Clement had a year left on his contract this summer, and that has naturally had an impact on the talks we've had and the negotiations that have now led to a sale. On the one hand, Clement has had a desire to try out his great talent abroad; on the other hand, we have had a desire to be compensated in accordance with precisely the quality he has."

Bischoff himself is delighted that the transfer has gone through.

"Brondby IF means something special to me and my whole family. I have been proud to pull the yellow jersey over my head every single time - both as a soccer player and when I ran around wearing my Brondby jersey in the school yard as a child."

"This is a very special club for me, and it has been a very educational few years for me, as a footballer and as a person. I would therefore also like to thank my coaches, teammates, and the fantastic fans who have supported us week after week."

RB Salzburg already have Mads Bidstrup, Maurits Kjaergaard, and Jacob Rasmussen in the squad.
