Brondby say on their website that Gregoritsch will travel with the rest of the squad to Strasbourg, where he will be registered later. This means that he will be able to get his debut as early as Thursday, when Brondby plays the first of two matches in the playoff round for the Europa Conference League against the French outfit.
Football director at Brondby IF, Benjamin Schmedes, is thrilled that the deal has gone through.
"In Michael, we get an experienced striker and a goalscorer who has proven his worth at the top level. Throughout his career, he has shown both a fantastic personality and great quality. In that way, he fits perfectly into our young and talented group of strikers, who now have an experienced reference point to lean on", Benjamin Schmedes says to the club's website.
"Michael is a type of player that we have not had in the squad until now. He gives us a new dimension in that way. He is a striker who has played lots of matches and scored lots of goals - both in the Bundesliga and with the national team. He is physically strong, reads the game well, great in the air, has a powerful left foot and good technique, and can thus have a central role both as a targetman and in the constructive game. We look forward to seeing him chase goals in our shirt and contribute to the team's success."
Michael Gregoritsch has 66 appearances for the Austrian national team and scored 21 goals.
