Danish champions AGF says on Facebook that key defender Frederik Tingager is out for the rest of the year after sustaining a hamstring injury in the back of his thigh.

AGF defender Frederik Tingager is ruled out for the rest of the autumn/year after sustaining an injury during final training before the Conference League match against Braga.

"Tingager had to withdraw due to an injury during the final training session ahead of the Conference League match against Braga and was therefore not included in the matchday squad, AGF reports. "Subsequent examinations have now revealed that a hamstring injury will, unfortunately, keep him sidelined for the remainder of the autumn."

33-year-old Tingager has made 13 appearances for AGF this season. He missed a string of matches earlier in the season due to injury, and now he faces another spell on the sidelines.

Consequently, Frederik Tingager will miss the remaining Superliga matches, the European fixtures against Brann, Twente, and Inter Club d'Escaldes, as well as the cup quarter-finals against Brabrand.
