Fenerbahce's fine weekend began on Sunday afternoon, when Galatasaray visited Kasimpasa.
The two-time defending champions have notoriously struggled against Kasimpasa, drawing 3-3 against them from three goals up earlier this season, while also scraping to a thrilling 4-3 win in their last meeting in the previous campaign.
And yet again, they proved to be really awkward for Galatasaray, as they snatched an entertaining 3-3 draw.
Fighting from 2-1 down, Galatasaray went 3-2 up courtesy of goals from Mario Lemina and Victor Osimhen. However, following a peculiar set of substitutions from manager Okan Buruk, Kasimpasa scored a late leveller from the penalty spot, as new signing Carlos Cuesta continued to struggle in the red and yellow jersey.
Frankly, a point was the very most the champions deserved. In keeping with recent performances, it was a dismal display, and if it wasn't for Fernando Muslera, the game could have been out of sight for them in the first half.
At the minute, Galatasaray's game is totally all over the place. They have no wins in their last four appearances and just one win in their last six. Fans are really unhappy with Okan's management and coaching, and his system seems to revolve solely around getting the ball up to Osimhen - who was one of the few bright spots against Kasimpasa - and hoping for the best.
The pressure is piling quickly on the manager, and he has to find a way to turn performances around quickly, or their grip on a third consecutive Super Lig title will slip away.
Fenerbahce continue to roll on
One team who are certainly not struggling at the moment are Fenerbahce. Jose Mourinho's side have seriously picked up some steam, and were in fine fettle once again as they cruised to a 3-0 win over Antalyaspor just hours after Galatasaray played.
It was dominant and convincing, with Mert Muldur, Dusan Tadic and Youssef En Nesyri all scoring in the first 30 minutes as Fener barely even got out of second gear.
The win means they are now unbeaten in 18 games in all competitions, with eight wins and a draw in their last nine league games.
Mourinho has now become the first foreign manager to win nine consecutive home matches in the Super Lig for Fenerbahce since Christoph Daum in the 2004/05 season.
Whatever you think of his ridiculous antics off the pitch, on the pitch, things are currently clicking. And after the weekend, they are now just four points off Galatasaray.
There is still a gap they must claw back, which will potentially widen as they don't play this coming weekend, and Galatasaray will have the chance to go seven points clear.
But Fenerbahce have a lot of momentum, while the vibes are really bad at Galatasaray. All they can do is continue to win their games, and hope their rivals continue to slip up.

Highlight of the week
Rachid Ghezzal scored this fantastic curled effort into the top corner to help Rizespor clinch a 3-1 victory over Alanyaspor. Ghezzal, who used to play for Besiktas, has scored four goals and provided two assists in the Super Lig this season.
Team of the week

Mert Muldur is Flashscore's player of the week based on our official ratings system after his all-action display from the right of back three. His defensive teammate Caglar Soyuncu also makes the team.
Besiktas duo Emirhan Topcu and Joao Mario find a spot in the starting XI, while Victor Osimhen takes his place in the frontline following a brace in Galatasaray's six-goal draw.
