Rangers have turned to former West Ham manager Graham Potter as they seek to replace Russell Martin.

Former Gers boss Steven Gerrard informed the club's hierarchy on Saturday that he was pulling out of the interview process.

The Daily Record says Rangers are now seeking alternatives as the Liverpool legend was their preferred candidate to succeed Martin after his dismissal last week.

Potter has now been contacted, with the former Chelsea and Brighton boss available after his axing by West Ham.

The report suggests that former Wolves and Bournemouth boss Gary O'Neil has also held talks with Ibrox directors.

However, ex-Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Rohl is now regarded as the favourite for the job.
