The Premier League action on Boxing Day and beyond failed to disappoint as we were treated to a host of big individual displays.

League leaders Liverpool came back from a goal down to sail past Leicester 3-1 at Anfield while chasing Chelsea were stunned late on by Fulham as they were beaten 2-1.

Elsewhere, Manchester City were held 1-1 at home to Everton, Wolves took down 10-man Manchester United 2-0 and Nottingham Forest edged Tottenham 1-0.

Goalkeeper

Mark Flekken (Brentford) 9

Mark Flekken made a string of saves before being withdrawn during Brentford's 0-0 draw at Brighton.

The Dutch goalkeeper made six stops inside 36 minutes before leaving the game with a knee injury.

Defence

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (West Ham) 7.9

Aaron Wan-Bissaka owned the right flank as West Ham came away with a 1-0 win at Southampton.

Wan-Bissaka created three chances, won three tackles, made three clearances and won all seven of his ground duels in a dominant outing.

Dean Huijsen (Bournemouth) 7.9

Young Spanish defender Dean Huijsen seems to be continuing his solid run of form as he impressed despite Bournemouth's 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace.

The 19-year-old completed a game-high 71 passes and won five tackles and 11 duels to complete an assured showing in central defence.

Myles Lewis-Skelly (Arsenal) 7.9

Arsenal academy talent Myles Lewis-Skelly appears to be going from strength to strength as he shone during their 1-0 win at home to Ipswich.

The 18-year-old had a rock-solid evening winning two tackles and nine duels, while he also created two chances going forward.

Midfield

Savinho (Manchester City) 7.9

Savinho emerged as a threat for Manchester City, whose struggles continued as they were held to a by Everton.

The Brazilian winger won a penalty after jinking into the box with some good footwork, although in the end it wasn't converted by Erling Haaland

Joelinton (Newcastle) 8.1

A battling and rounded performance from Joelinton helped Newcastle confidently roll past 10-man Aston Villa 3-0.

Joelinton used his physicality to his advantage to dominate the midfield and later found the scoresheet with a well-taken effort in stoppage time.

Brajan Gruda (Brighton) 8

Brighton's Brajan Gruda was lively but was unable to push the Seagulls towards victory as they drew 0-0 with Brentford.

The German winger created five chances and won six ground duels as Brighton's winless run extended to six games.

Anthony Elanga (Nottingham Forest) 8

Anthony Elanga scored Nottingham Forest's lone goal as they narrowly defeated Tottenham at home.

Elanga raced away after being set through and poked his effort in past an onrushing Fraser Forster.

Attack

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) 7.9

Mohamed Salah continues to produce for Liverpool as he scored late on in Liverpool's win over Leicester – his 100th home goal in the Premier League.

The Egyptian drove into the penalty area, fashioned some space for himself and curled his effort beyond the goalkeeper to wrap up the points for the league leaders.

Matheus Cunha (Wolves) 9.2

Matheus Cunha was Wolves' magic man yet again as they piled the misery on United.

The Brazilian completed four dribbles, won a game-high 14 duels and capped his display with a stunning 'Olimpico' – looping a corner into the net directly from a corner.

Cody Gakpo (Liverpool) 8.6

Cody Gakpo notched a goal and an assist to essentially spark Liverpool's recovery against Leicester.

His goal was converted well after he cut inside and bent a shot into the corner to draw the Reds level shortly before half-time.
