FC Porto announced on Friday that midfielder Rodrigo Mora has a muscle injury that "prevents him from joining the national team squad." Diogo Costa is also listed in the medical report after undergoing "treatment for lower back pain."

"Substituted at half-time in the second leg of the Europa League round of 16 against Stuttgart (2-0), Rodrigo Mora is dealing with a muscle injury in his left thigh, which prevents him from joining the national team squad," read the statement from the Dragons.

Porto returned to training on Friday morning, just hours after their win over Stuttgart on Thursday. The young midfielder left the match at half-time complaining of pain in his thigh and is expected to miss the game against SC Braga, while goalkeeper Diogo Costa, who was the standout player in the match, finished the game with back pain.

"The FC Porto medical report includes the names of Diogo Costa (treatment for lower back pain), Nehuen Perez (restricted training), Rodrigo Mora (treatment for a muscle injury in the left thigh), Luuk de Jong (treatment and gym work), and Samu (treatment and gym work)," the club's statement continued.

A few hours ago, Roberto Martinez announced the squad for the final preparation matches ahead of the 2026 World Cup, with Rodrigo Mora and Diogo Costa among those called up.

The midfielder will now be unavailable for the Spanish coach, but the goalkeeper is expected to join the training camp on Monday.

FC Porto will resume training on Saturday to prepare for the clash with Braga in the 27th round of Liga Portugal.
