The 23-year-old Jaros joined Liverpool in 2017 after being picked up from Slavia Prague's academy. The one-time Czech international made his debut for the senior squad in the past Premier League season, when he replaced Alisson during the 1-0 away win at Crystal Palace in October. Jaros made his full debut for the Premier League champions in the League Cup win over Brighton later that month.
Jaros will take up the starting role at Ajax as 41-year-old Remko Pasveer will take a step back and take up a reserve role. According to Dutch media, Ajax are also chasing 19-year-old Slavia Prague goalkeeper Joeri Heerkens, who they want to prepare to become Ajax's starting goalkeeper in the near future.
Heitinga
At Ajax, Jaros will be reunited with head coach John Heitinga, who was Arne Slot's assistant last season at Anfield. "He is a nice man. From the preseason until the end of the season, he was always kind and helpful. I believe we had a good relationship," Jaros said on the club website.
Heitinga was one of the deciding factors for Jaros to join the 36-time Dutch champions, the stopper admitted. "He called me, and you know what to expect from someone you know. Going somewhere where you know the trainer is very useful."
However, it wasn't just Heitinga that swayed Jaros to move to Amsterdam. "It is the most successful club in the Netherlands thanks to its youth academy and the talent it produces. They are world-famous for what they do here. And also for their European success in the past."

Ajax's playing style suits the Czech goalie well, he says. "Ajax likes to do things the Ajax way. That's how I like to play, too, so I'm really looking forward to it. At Liverpool, we tried to play in a similar way last season. I'm good with my feet."
Jaros, who will return to Liverpool upon the expiry of his loan spell, has a clear goal in mind for his time in Amsterdam. "My personal goal is to play in every match and become champion. That's what everyone at Ajax expects and wants. So that's what I want too."
'Quality impulse'
Technical director Alex Kroes is delighted with the arrival of the young Czech. "We are very pleased to have been able to bring Vitezslav to Amsterdam," Kroes said on the club website.
"Despite his young age, he has gained the necessary experience and has played a full part as reserve goalkeeper for the English champions."
Kroes sees a direct match between Jaros's qualities and Ajax's demands in terms of playing style. "His ability to play as a goalkeeper is of a very high standard; he is athletic, good at playing the spaces and provides stability for the defence. His arrival definitely means a boost in quality for our squad."
