An away supporters' stand collapsed at Romssa Arena (formerly Alfheim Stadium) in Tromso, Norway, during the crucial Eliteserien match in Norway between Tromso IL and Bodo/Glimt.

The "Slaget om Nord-Norge" (Battle of Northern Norway) derby was abruptly halted roughly 40 minutes into the first half while the score was tied 0-0.

The temporary scaffolding-style stand holding the away Bodo/Glimt supporters gave way when fans were jumping to a supporters' song as the floor structurally failed and broke in two.

Bodo/Glimt goalkeeper Nikita Haikin gestured frantically toward referee Ola Hobber Nilsen, who quickly halted the match.

"Up to five people fell through the stands in the away section. One person has been taken to the hospital, while the others were examined on-site and appear to be doing well," Simen Pedersen, media officer for Bodo/Glimt, told NRK.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, and stadium announcers ordered away fans to evacuate the area immediately to clear a path for emergency personnel.

Both sets of players were sent back to the dressing rooms, and the match remains indefinitely delayed.
