Legia Warszawa 0-3 Chelsea
34 - Legia Warszawa are likely to see their European journey end after falling 3-0 at home to competition favourites Chelesa. Last season, they lost by the same scoreline at the knockout round playoffs to Molde, the side who they knocked out last round.
However, Thursday's result was the first time in 34 years that Legia have lost at home to an English side in Europe, ending a run of three consecutive wins.
9 - Chelsea have continued to show why they are the overwhelming favourites to lift the Conference League title in Wroclaw a month and a half from now. The Blues got all three of their goals in the second half to all but secure a place in the semi-finals.
They are on a nine-game winning streak, having won all of their matches in the UECL proper. It also means that they are enjoying their longest run in a UEFA club competition, ever.
Djurgarden 0-1 Rapid Wien
2 - Djurgarden will head to the Austrian capital with work to do as they fell to defeat at home. The Swedes have been quite strong at the Tele2 Arena in continental play of late. Yet, it it is the second time this season that they have been defeated in front of their own fans.
Interestingly, Djurgarden have failed to score at home in a UECL match for just the second time. This also occurred two years ago at the round of 16 stage, 3-0 against Lech Poznan. They were knocked out 5-0 on aggregate.
6 - Rapid Wien are on the precipice of a first European semi-final since 1996 as they take a 1-0 lead at home. Die Grün-Weißen are the first Austrian side at this stage of a UEFA club competition since RB Salzburg seven years ago.
Looking at this term though, Rapid have had their best campaign in quite some time. Excluding the qualifying rounds, this is the most number of wins Rapid have had in Europe in the group phase era in any one season, as their first leg victory made it six wins.
Real Betis 2-0 Jagiellonia Bialystok
10 - Real Betis have come alive in 2025 after a rocky opening half to the season. With just two defeats in their last 15 across all competitions, things are looking quite good for Los Verdiblancos.
They have struggled at home in European knockout round ties. For perspective, Thursday's win ended a run of 10 knockout round home matches without victory. The last time they were successful in such a tie came 19 years ago in the UEFA Cup when they defeated AZ 2-0.
4 - Jagiellonia Bialystok are still dreaming of making the UECL showpiece, allowing them to play a continental final in their home country. They have their work cut out for them though, as the 2-0 loss puts them in a difficult spot.
In the first leg, the Poles were held to their fewest shots total in the Conference League this term, amassing just four attempts on goal. They are averaging nearly 14 shots per home game in the competition from the league phase on, which could give them hope though.
Celje 1-2 Fiorentina
11 - Celje gave a good account of themselves against the more fancied Fiorentina, but still could not avoid the defeat. The Slovenians have already been involved in some dramatic matches in the tournament this term, and this game was no different.
In the end, Rumeno-modri's 11-game unbeaten run at home has come to an end. The last team to beat Celje away was Vitoria Guimaraes in the second qualifying round last season. That tie could be a good omen for them though, as they still advanced on penalties.
3 - Fiorentina are looking for a third UECL final in as many campaigns, and they are in a good position to progress.
La Viola have not done well on their travels this term, with Thursday being just their second victory in European away games in 2024/25. More crucially, the win ended a run of three consecutive knockout round away games for Fiorentina, who will look to finish off the tie next week.
