German international Karim Adeyemi has been ordered to pay €450,000 for illegal possession of weapons after the German Police found two prohibited weapons in Adeyemi's possession. The national team player was fined, but will not be considered to have a criminal record.

Under German law for firearms, the acquisition, possession, and carrying of these items are offenses punishable by a fine or imprisonment of up to 3 years, and, in the case of brass knuckles, the penalty can reach 10 years if the weapon is used to commit violence.

The fine for Adeyemi amounts to 60 daily rates, which, given the star player's income, totals around €450,000. According to Chief Public Prosecutor Michael Burggräf, the penal order became legally binding on 30 October.

When asked by the German media, BILD, BVB released a statement. The club emphasized that they always take "criminal allegations" seriously. Furthermore, such matters are discussed with employees while "maintaining confidentiality".

The 23-year-old German right winger will be registered in the Federal Central Register, but will not be considered criminally convicted, as this only occurs after 90 daily fines.

Adeyemi is yet to comment on the case.
