For the first time in two years Gyor goalkeeper Sandra Toft returns to the Danish national team as she has been selected for the squad which will take part in a mini tournament in Romania in the end of September

Sandra Toft is back in the Danish national team. The experienced goalkeeper has been called up by head coach Helle Thomsen, who has selected a 17-player squad for the EHF Euro Cup Final4.

"I’ve watched all her matches for Györ, and she has performed excellently. She looks fit and has been playing well, so she is competing for a spot alongside the other goalkeepers. We know what she is capable of at her peak, and she has really demonstrated a high level of play recently," says Helle Thomsen.

Sandra Toft has not been part of the women's national team since the 2024 European Championship. In the interim, she has been sidelined due to pregnancy and maternity leave.

Denmark will face Romania on 26 September in one semi-final, while Norway and Hungary clash in the other. The following day features the final or the match for third place.
