Perhaps Sunday excluded, Round 10 was one of the most thrilling NRL rounds in recent memory, featuring six consecutive nailbiters including a draw in Townsville and a deciding field goal in Wollongong.

The big winner of Round 10 is...

Canterbury Bulldogs as one of the three teams who went into the sheds trailing by at least 14 points at half-time only to turn things around and come out victorious.

Stephen Crichton ran rings around Sebastian Kris during the second half and proved why he's on more than $800,000 a season at Belmore as one of their prize recruits brought to the club to end their 21-year Premiership drought.

It was just the second time this season that the Dogs were behind at the break, and whilst they were never going to be able to recover from the 34-0 first half mauling in Brisbane, this effort was obviously much more promising as far as their ability to come from behind is concerned.

Heading into their rematch against the Broncos in Round 18, they have five consecutive games against sides currently outside the top eight; so barring any dramatic slides, they could well be 13-1 and potentially even ahead of Melbourne Storm in the outright winner market.

The big loser of Round 10 is...

Speaking of the Broncos, they're now unwillingly one of the most out of form teams in the competition after losing four of their last five matches, illustrating that the aforementioned demolition job of Canterbury was an anomaly rather than a sign of things to come.

For a star-studded team that began the 2025 as joint-second favourites to win the Premiership (behind Melbourne and alongside Penrith), their start to the season certainly hasn't been good enough.

They were switched off in the second half against the Rabbitohs and their decision not to bring Ezra Mam back to the side immediately has gone terribly wrong.

Not only did starting five-eighth Ben Hunt limp off with a hamstring injury, Mam was cited for a high tackle playing for Souths Logan in the reserves grade Queensland Cup. He'll find out on Tuesday morning if he earns a suspension, which he would have to serve in either that competition or the NRL.

A try saving tackle was just one of the reasons that Rabbitohs fullback Latrell Mitchell picked up the full six votes in what was a very impactful return to action.

He was joined by Stephen Crichton, Blaize Talagi, Ryan Papenhuyzen and Nicho Hynes as the five men who got maximum points this weekend.

Will Kennedy extended his lead at the top with two points in what was a pretty quiet shift for him in Cronulla's 30-14 win over Manly.

Try of the Week: Round 10

It was hard to pick a favourite out of what was a weekend of highlights but we've settled on a slick five-pass fourth tackle move from the Cowboys in which Tom Dearden got the spoils after playing his part in the buildup.
