Mads Pedersen capped off a superb week in familiar territory with a third stage victory, which was enough to also win the overall title at the 2025 Tour of Denmark. It was Pedersen’s 13th win of the 2025 season – the second most of any rider globally, behind only Tadej Pogacar

Axel Zingle (Visma-Lease a Bike) did his best to spoil  the Lidl-Trek party and deny them a fourth win out of five stages, but was unable to get past Pedersen in the race for the sprint win in a reduced group of five riders.

Speaking after the final stage in Helsingor, Pedersen paid tribute to his teammates and the week they executed to perfection.

“It’s been an absolutely incredible week for us – far beyond anything we could have dreamed of. It’s been fantastic,” a visibly emotional Pedersen said to DR Sporten, after sealing the title on home soil.

“A perfect race for us,” he summarised. “It’s easy to say from the outside when it all goes to plan, but the boys delivered every single day. We raced hard, took our chances, and came away with more than we could have asked for.”
