The fixture list for the 2026/27 Premier League season has been unveiled, building early excitement for the campaign ahead.

The season kicks off on Friday, August 21st, with champions Arsenal starting their title defence at home to Championship winners Coventry.

Fellow promoted side Hull will host Manchester United on their return, while Ipswich's first game back in the top flight is against Sunderland.

Elsewhere, Manchester City begin life without decorated manager Pep Guardiola against Bournemouth, and Andoni Iraola's Liverpool are away to Newcastle.

Other notable opening fixtures see Tottenham, fresh off surviving relegation, go away to Brentford and Chelsea visit Fulham in London derbies.

Key dates for 2026/27 season

The 2026/27 Premier League season will start on Saturday, August 22nd and conclude on Sunday, May 30th, 2027.

It begins one week later than the previous campaign to aid player recovery time following the summer's World Cup in North America.

The season is made up of 33 weekend and five midweek matchdays, with the final day consisting of all 10 matches kicking off simultaneously, as usual.

The EFL Cup begins on the weekend of August 7th-9th, with the 11 Premier League sides not in Europe entering in the second round, and the nine European participants in round three.

The FA Cup third round, when Premier League clubs enter, starts around the weekend of January 9th/10th, with the final at Wembley on Saturday, May 22nd, 2027.

The Premier League's summer transfer window opened on June 15th and will close on September 1st at 23:00 BST.

It will reopen in the winter on January 1st, 2027, and will close at 23:00 GMT on February 1st, 2027.
