Oklahoma State quarterback Hauss Hejny will be out for multiple weeks after suffering a broken foot during the team's season-opening 27-7 win over UT Martin on Thursday.

Hejny received surgery on the foot on Friday. He left the game after going 5-10 passing with 123 total yards and two total touchdowns in three series. Backup QB Zane Flores finished the game going 13-20 with 126 passing yards.

Hejny is a redshirt freshman TCU transfer, making this his first official start of his collegiate career.

"We're proud of the way Hauss played last night and wish him a full and speedy recovery," said Head Coach Mike Gundy. "I'm thankful for our medical staff and their ability to provide prompt, top-tier care for our team."

As for Flores, he'll be starting his first-ever collegiate game next week against the powerhouse (#7) Oregon on September 6th.
