The NHL's 13-game, Saturday slate proved to be yet another great one as the Dallas Stars' Jason Robertson put up a hat trick, Edmonton's Leon Draisaitl scored the game-winner in just seconds, Buffalo earned their first road win of the season, and the New Jersey Devils bested the Washington Capitals in a shootout!

Stars 5-1 Flyers

After Lian Bichsel scored his first goal of the season to put the Stars up 1-0, Robertson would proceed to score a natural hat trick to give Dallas a commanding 4-0 lead that Philly couldn't recover from.

Christian Dvorak (6) gave the Flyers some life in the third period with a goal, but Dallas' Tyler Seguin (7) added some extra insurance a few minutes later.

Dallas improved to 12-4-3 as they extended their win streak to five games. The Flyers dropped to 9-6-3.

Oilers 4-3 Hurricanes

After Jack Roslovic (6) scored an unassisted goal to start the game for the Oilers, Connor McDavid (9) would go on to score twice to give his team the 3-2 lead in the third.

But Carolina's Jordan Staal (4) scored just 59 seconds after McDavid to push the game into overtime.

That's where Leon Draisaitl picked up his 13th goal of the season, assisted by McDavid (21) and Evan Brouchard (13), in just the first nine seconds of OT.

Edmonton improved to 9-7-4, while the Canes fell to 12-5-1.

Sabres 5-4 Red Wings

After going down 4-1 thanks to a pair of goals from Detroits' Alex DeBrincat (8), who has now scored twice in back-to-back games, Buffalo rallied, scoring three straight of their own to send it into overtime.

Mattias Samuelsson (3) scored just over a minute into OT to give the Sabres their first road win of the season and an end to their five-game losing streak.

Detroit fell to 10-7-1 on the season, while Buffalo improved to 6-8-4.

Devils 3-2 Capitals

After Arseny Gritsyuk (4) and Luke Hughes (1) put the Devils up 2-0, the Capitals rallied back in the third period with goals from Connor McMichael (2) and Alexander Ovechkin (5), who assisted on McMichael's goal to send it to OT.

Neither team scored in overtime. It was during the shootout where Jesper Bratt then Simon Nemec would prove clutch as the Devils improved to an Eastern Conference-best 13-4-1.

The Caps fell to 8-8-2 and are now 2-6-1 in their last 10 games.

Rangers 2-1 Blue Jackets

Mika Zibanejad (6) put the Rangers up 1-0 in the second period. But Columbus' Dmitri Voronkov (7) tied it all up, thanks to a secondary assist from Kirill Marchenko, who extended his point streak to 11 games and also scored the lone goal for his team in the shootout.

Unfortunately for the Columbus home crowd, Vincent Trocheck and J.T. Miller both scored to give the Rangers a win via shootout as they improved to 10-7-2.

They've now won three straight, while Columbus fell to 9-7-2.

Blackhawks 3-2 Maple Leafs

Atfer being down 2-1 entering the third period, Teuvo Teravainen (4) tied it up for the Blackhawks to give them the one chance they need to win.

Colton Dach (2) capitalized on said opportunity with just under five minutes in the game, eventually leading to Chicago's win.

The Blackhawks' point streak was extended to five games following the win and are now 9-5-4.

Toronto fell to 8-9-2 as they sit just above the Sabres at the bottom of the Eastern Conference.

Wild 2-0 Ducks

Jesper Wallstedt put up 28 saves in his second shutout of the season in only six starts.

Matt Boldy (10) scored an empty-netter in the third period and recorded an assist to Marcus Johansson on his goal in the second.

The Ducks have now dropped to 11-6-1 and their third straight. Minnesota improved to 8-7-4.

Kings 1-0 Senators

Prior to the game, the Senators paid tribute to the Atletico Ottawa soccer club, who just won the Canadian Premier League championship.

Unfortunately for Sens fans, the game felt like a soccer match as they were shutout by the Kings after putting up only 17 shots.

Alex Laferriere (5) scored the lone goal for the Kings, who improved to 10-5-4 as they've now won four straight.

Ottawa fell to 9-6-4.

Bruins 3-2 Canadiens

The Bruins held off the Canadiens on seven power kill opportunities as they improved to 12-8-0. They're now just one of two teams to not have a loss in overtime yet this season.

Despite Montreal's Cole Caufield (13) scoring late in the third period to cut the lead to 3-2, Boston eventually held on.

But Bruins fans are holding their breath as their star Charlie McAvoy left with an injury.

Montreal fell to 10-6-2 as they've now lost three straight.

Golden Knights 4-1 Blues

The Knights scored four straight goals, leaving the Blues helpless by the time the third period rolled around.

Things got started after Brandon Saad scored his first goal of the season. It was followed up by one from rookie Braeden Bowman - his first career NHL goal.

Noah Hanifin would also score his first of the season before Tomas Hertl (8) capped the Vegas win at four goals on the night.

Philip Broberg (2) scored the lone go for the Blues as they fell to 6-9-4 on the season.

Vegas improved to 8-4-5.

Lightning 3-1 Panthers

Brad Marchand (12) scored the Panthers' lone goal in the battle for Florida as the Panthers fell to 9-8-1. He now extends his point streak to 10 games.

Emil Lilleberg (2), Jack Finley (1), and Zemgus Girgensons (4) all scored the Bolts as they improved to 9-6-2.

Tampa Bay has now won eight of their last 10 games.

Kraken 4-1 Sharks

After entering the second period all tied up at one a piece, Adam Larsson (1) and Eeli Tolvanen (3) put up two on the board for Seattle as they headed into the third period with a 3-1 lead.

Jaden Schwartz (7) scored the short-handed empty-netter to finish off the Sharks as Seattle improved to 9-4-5.

San Jose fell to 8-8-3 and have now lost back-to-back games.

Jets 4-3 Flames

After both teams exchanged goals in the second period, Winnipeg's Cole Perfetti gave his team the lead with a power play goal - his first of the season.

But with under two minutes to go in the game, Matt Coronato (5) proved clutch with a game-tying goal to send it into overtime.

Despite the Flames going on a 4-3 power play, they failed to score as the game went to a shootout, where the Jets walked away with a win thanks to Gabriel Vilardi's goal.

Winnipeg improved to 11-7-0. Calgary fell to 5-12-3.
