Our NFL experts are back once more to give their picks for the NFL Playoffs Conference Championship matches as the Denver Broncos host the New England Patriots in the early game, then it's the Los Angeles Rams heading north to take on their division rival Seattle Seahawks during the night!

The No. 1-seeded Broncos are coming off a controversial 33-30 overtime win over the Buffalo Bills, but lost starting quarterback Bo Nix in the process.

Their hopeful return of starting running back J.K. Dobbins was also denied after he wasn't able to get ready in time this week, as he is still recovering from a foot injury.

That leaves backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham and rookie running back R.J. Harvey to lead the way for the Broncos' offence against a Patriots defence that has been absolutely stellar these playoffs.

After holding Justin Herbert and the Chargers' offence to just three points in the Wild Card round, the Patriots forced five turnovers against the Houston Texans in the divisional round, beating them 28-16.

Their six takeaways lead all teams in the playoffs, while their 19 total points allowed is second-best to the Seahawks' six of the four remaining teams.

For the night game, it'll be an NFC West divisional matchup between the Seahawks and Rams for the third time this season, with their last game becoming a Game of the Year candidate that ended with a 38-37 Seahawks victory in overtime.

Seattle has yet to allow a single offensive touchdown in their past eight quarters of play as they are coming off a 41-6 beatdown of their other NFC West rivals, the San Francisco 49ers, during the Divisional Round.

As for the Rams, they're coming off back-to-back close wins. They took down the Carolina Panthers 34-31 in the Wild Card round after MVP-favourite Matthew Stafford threw a last-minute touchdown pass to Colby Parkinson.

Then, in the Divisional Round, the Rams took down a Bears team in Chicago 20-17 in overtime after yet another game-winning drive.

Now, let's see who our experts picked!

Experts picks

Patriots @ Broncos

Paul (regular season champion): Broncos 17-16 Patriots

Sean Payton has had a full week to gameplan for the Patriots, knowing Jarrett Stidham will be his QB1 at Mile High. There's only a small handful of other coaches I trust more with this than Payton, who's repeatedly backed Stidham, who was one of Payton's first free agent signings as Broncos head coach.

I love Denver's defence despite allowing the Bills to put 30 on them. Denver blitzes a lot and go zero on a massive 20% of their blitzes - something Drake Maye hates.

The Patriots found their way past Houston in the sloppiest playoff game I have ever seen, but against a Broncos defence that knows it has to give its all, I'm backing the home team.

Give me R.J. Harvey's Broncos!

Eric (2nd place): Broncos 24-20 Patriots

We can say weather will be a non-factor in this game, given both teams and their experiences in it. However, the simple fact is that it does affect the game.

It'll be a brisk 24 degrees (-4 Celsius) with a little bit of wind pushing through. That ball can be slippery at times and I'm trusting the Broncos' defence to take advantage when they get to Maye this game with some key strip sacks.

Denver will show everyone that a great defence truly can lead a team to a Super Bowl, even with a backup QB. Stidham doesn't have to become prime Peyton Manning; he just has to minimize any possible mistakes to make sure they stay in the game.

And I think he will.

Miguel (3rd place): Patriots 16-13 Broncos

Due to Bo Nix’s injury, the Broncos will have to rely on their defence more than ever. For that reason, I think it'll be a really close game between the two best teams in the NFL right now.

I'd say Maye and the Patriots make fewer mistakes than the Broncos during this game and advance to the Super Bowl as my favourites to win it all.

Henri (4th place): Patriots 27-10 Broncos

As Miguel stated, with Nix out, the Broncos are all about defense and the running game. This is a stroke of luck for the Patriots, who would otherwise have had a real tough opponent here as their last stop before the Super Bowl.

So I see Maye and New England as clear favourites who won't let anything slip here.

Rams @ Seahawks

Paul: Rams 28-22 Seahawks

We could not have asked for a better NFC Championship Game. These two teams are as equal as they could be. The Rams offense is fantastic, while the Seahawks defence has showed out in recent weeks.

Sean McVay knows how to dissect this unit, though, and so does Matthew Stafford, who put up 457 yards and 3 TDs last time they met.

Without Zach Charbonnet and with a slightly unfit Sam Darnold, who's been awful against Chris Shula's defences the past two seasons, I give a slight edge to the Los Angeles Rams and Sean McVay, who's 2-0 in Championship Games in his career.

Give me the soon-to-be MVP Matthew Stafford's Rams!

Eric: Seahawks 31-19 Rams

This Seahawks defence is looking unstoppable right about now. They didn't beat the 49ers - they embarrassed them from the very start.

Momentum is a major factor in sports. The Rams are barely squeezing by their games and now they're up against a juggernaut of a Seahawks team that looked like they're going to allow anything but a close game.

But we should never doubt divisional matchups, especially against these two powerhouses.

However, even with Darnold not 100%, it allowed Kenneth Walker III to have the game of his life and it showed they don't need to simply rely on Darnold to win. Old school football - ground and pound with a smashmouth defence.

I got the Seahawks winning this one.

Miguel: Seahawks 35-21 Rams

The Seahawks are coming into this game at their best point of the season and, in my opinion, should have no trouble beating the Rams.

Seattle showed its strength in the previous round against the 49ers, and I expect them to reach Super Bowl LX without a problem.

Henri: Seahawks 34-31 Rams

I like Seattle even more in the playoffs than in their best games of the regular season. It's really amazing how everything is just working out here, and I think the team spirit will also bring them the NFC Championship.

In the end, it could be a real shootout just like last time, with Seattle coming out on top.
