The 28-year old defender has signed a three-year contract with Mönchengladbach.
"Borussia Mönchengladbach has given me an opportunity I cannot refuse. Both in relation to the sporting challenges and the financial framework. I am at an age where both elements are decisive for my future, and therefore I am glad that that the contract is now signed and sealed", says Diks.
According to sports director Sune Smith-Nielsen, it has long been clear that Diks was not going to extend his stay in the Danish capital.
"In the summer transfer window there were several bids for Kevin, but we chose to keep Kevin because he is of decisive importance to our team and our way of playing."
"We have always had a really good dialogue about things with Kevin and his background. We have known that Kevin wanted to leave us in the summer after the contract expired", says Smith-Nielsen.
FCK brought in Diks in 2021 after he had been a a huge success in AGF where he played on loach from Fiorentina.
Diks has so far played 158 games for FCK, and he has contributed with 20 goals, partly because he has recently been chosen as no. 1 penalty taker.
