Major League Baseball revealed the 2026 Gold Glove Award winners for the American League and National League on Sunday! The award is given to the best defensive players at their respective positions.

Catcher

American League: Dillon Dingler (Detroit Tigers)

Dingler wins the American League Gold Glove for the second straight year after leading the AL among all players, not just catchers, in Fielding Run Value (17), a metric that measures total defensive contribution expressed in the number of runs saved or allowed compared to an average player.

His .995 fielding percentage was the second-best in all of baseball, sitting .001% behind Yanier Diaz's .996.

He now needs just one more Gold Glove to join Tigers legends Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez, Lance Parrish, and Bill Freehan to have three Gold Gloves on his resume - all of whom won at least three straight.

National League: Gabriel Moreno (Arizona Diamondbacks)

The only catcher in D'Backs history to ever win the award has now claimed it for a second time after finishing right behind Dingler in Defensive Runs Saved.

He joined Joe Mauer as the only two catchers in MLB history to win a Gold Glove and win a batting title. Moreno led all catchers this year with a .314 batting average.

Pitcher

American League: Tanner Bibee (Cleveland Guardians)

He became just the second pitcher in franchise history (Shane Bieber - 2022) to win a Gold Glove. The 27-year-old was the American League leader in both defensive runs saved (+5) and outs above average (+6).

Bibee also ranked fourth in total assists (18).

National League: Nolan McLean (New York Mets)

McLean became the first-ever rookie pitcher to earn a Gold Glove. He joins Ron Darling (1989) as the only pitchers in the entire 64-year history of the Mets' franchise to win the award.

First base

American League: Christian Walker (Houston Astros)

This marks Walker's fourth career Gold Glove and his first with the Astros after putting an AL-tying Field Run Value of 7.

National League: Matt Olson (Atlanta Braves)

Much like Walker, Olson is now also a four-time Gold Glove winner after leading all first basemen in Outs Above Average (12) and Fielding Run Value (12).

Second base

American League: Cole Young (Seattle Mariners)

Young earned his first career Gold Glove in just his second season, becoming the first since Bret Boone won it three straight years between 2002 and 2004. Boone's first in 2002 was a year before Young was even born.

National League: Brice Turang (Milwaukee Brewers)

Turang makes it his second career Gold Glove as the now World Series champion still remains the only second baseman in Brewers history to win at least one. His 23 Defensive Runs Saved were the second-most in baseball.

Shortstop

American League: Taylor Walls (Tampa Bay Rays)

Walls earned his first Gold Glove and became the first Rays shortstop to ever win the award. He led all shortstops with 21 Defensive Runs Saved.

National League: Geraldo Perdomo (Arizona Diamondbacks)

Perdomo joined Nick Ahmed as the only two shortstops in D'Backs history to win a Gold Glove. This year marked his first after finishing the season with 16 Outs Above Average (98th percentile, according to StatCast).

Third base

American League: Caleb Durbin (Boston Red Sox)

This marked Durbin's first career Gold Glove after he led all third basemen with 13 Defensive Runs Saved. Durbin joins Frank Malone as the only two third basemen in the Red Sox's long, rich history to win the award.

National League: Alex Bregman (Chicago Cubs)

Bregman, much like Durbin, becomes just the second third baseman in Cubs history to win the award, joining Ron Santo. This also marks Bregman's second time (2024) winning the award.

Left field

American League: Cody Bellinger (New York Yankees)

Bellinger finished the season tied for third in the league with 21 Defensive Runs Saved as he earned his second Gold Glove (2019).

National League: Jackson Chourio (Milwaukee Brewers)

The champion superstar won his first Gold Glove after leading all left fielders with 13 Defensive Runs Saved.

Center field

American League: Ceddanne Rafaela (Boston Red Sox)

This now marks back-to-back Gold Gloves for Rafaela after he finished second with 16 Outs Above Average and tied with Bellinger for third-most 21 Defensive Runs Saved.

National League: Pete Crow-Armstrong (Chicago Cubs)

Crow-Armstrong earned his second straight Gold Glove after leading all outfielders with 26 Outs Above Average. He is also currently the runaway favorite for the NL MVP Award.

Right field

American League: Wilyer Abreu (Boston Red Sox)

Abreu has now won the award three straight years (two alongside Rafaela as a teammate) after he led all outfielders in the league with 28 Defensive Runs Saved. The last pair of teammates to win back-to-back together were Barry Bonds and Andy Van Slyke (1990-1992) with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

National League: Corbin Carroll (Arizona Diamondbacks)

Caroll earned his first Gold Glove after leading all right fielders with 10 Outs Above Average. He became the first D'Backs outfielder since David Peralta (2019) to win the award and the fifth in the franchise's history.

Utility

American League: Ezequiel Duran (Texas Rangers)

This is the first Gold Glove for Duran after he ranked in Statcast's 99th percentile with 17 Outs Above Average.

National League: Mauricio Dubon (Atlanta Braves)

Since the 'utility' category was introduced in 2022, Dubon has taken home the Gold Glove Award three times now. He finished the season with 6 Outs Above Average (91st percentile).
