The Winnipeg Jets continue their win streak while the Rangers continue the opposite in a quieter night in the NHL on Monday as fans only saw three matchups before tomorrow's massive 13-game slate.

Winnipeg (27-10-1) won their fourth straight game 3-0 courtesy of two power-play goals from Gabriel Vilardi (16) after Dylan DeMelo scored his first goal of the season to kick things off. The Predators (11-19-7) failed to equalize on their two powerplays and have now gone 4-5-1 in their last ten games.

This is now the sixth time the Predators have been shut out this season. Meanwhile, this is now the Jets' fifth shutout.

Panthers 5-3 Rangers

The Panthers (23-13-2) survived a close one against a suffering Rangers (16-19-1) team that is doing anything they can to muster up a win at this point. Florida got on the board first with goals by Eetu Luostarinen (6) and Mackie Samoskevich (7) before the Rangers scored two unanswered goals from Filip Chytil (7) and Ryan Lindgren (2) to tie it up in the second.

The tie lasted a whole 38 seconds until Jesper Boqvist scored the go-ahead goal for Florida. Chris Kreider (12) tied it back up for the Rangers on a power play before Boqvist (7) came back again to take the lead.

Aleksander Barkov (11) scored the empty net to send the Rangers to the showers with their fourth straight loss as they now fall to 2-8-0 in their last 10 games.

Kraken 5-2 Utah

The battle of the NHL's newest teams (sort of) ended with the Kraken (17-19-2) taking home their second straight win. After Utah (16-14-6) tied it up 2-2 in the second period, the Kraken scored three straight goals to make a comeback unreachable.

Newly acquired Kaapo Kakko had two assists for Seattle tonight while Jaden Schwartz (12) scored a goal and recorded two assists as well.

Both teams will face each other again on March 14, 2025.
