The NHL had a slow four-game slate on Monday with, surprisingly, the Flyers taking away the headline after they won their third straight game under newly appointed head coach Brad Shaw.

Despite being outshot 29-18, the Flyers managed to keep their win streak alive with a 2-1 win over the Nashville Predators.

Goals were scored by Ryan Poehling (11) and Jamie Drysdale (7) with rookie sensation Matvei Michkov racking up assists on both.

The Flyers are now 3-0 under Shaw with just six games remaining.

Devils 3-2 Wild

The Devils win back-to-back games against the Wild but this time in a shootout.

After Nico Hischier (34) put the Devils up 2-1, Matt Boldy (25) tied it for the Wild to send the game into overtime, where both teams failed to score.

Paul Cotter and Jesper Bratt put it home to give New Jersey the win.

Flames 3-2 Avalanche

After being down 2-0, the Calgary Flames complete the comeback with a shootout to end it.

Ryan Lomberg (2) and Adam Klapka (3) both scored in the third period to send it to overtime.

But after a scoreless OT, Yegor Sharangovich scored the lone goal during the shootout to give Calgary their fifth win in the last seven games.
