Odense Handball could be handicapped in their quest to win the Danish domestic title as well as the Champions League as one of their key profiles, the Danish international winger Andrea Aagot is struggling to reach full fitness following a back injury.

Aagot has not been in action since 26 March and she was once again absent when Odense won 35-31 in Kvindeligaen Thursday night, when Odense began their campaign in the Championship playoffs.

"I've had a back that has been bothering me for a long time. We've tried to keep it in check by reducing my playing time. But now we've decided that I'll be out for a while to get it under control", says Aagot to TV2 Sport.

Aagot is uncertain for how long she will be absent.

"It's a bit hard to say, because I have been in and out a lot. So right now we're not putting a timeframe on it. It takes the time it needs, and then we'll see how long time it takes."

"It's super frustrating. I'm just sitting there waiting to be able to help the girls. It's really disappointing that I won't be able to participate in the important matches, but I also want to play handball for many years to come, so I also have to take care of my body right now", says Aagot.

Odense will be in action again when they face Copenhagen Handball on Wednesday.
