For the second time since 20 February Danish referee Jesper Madsen was stretchered off after feeling sick on the court during the match between Aalborg Handball og TTH Holstebro in the Danish domestic league.

The match continued with just one referee as Mads Hansen took over.

It was the second time within a short period of time that Jesper Madsen was forced to be stretchered off after feeling unwell at the court.

On 20 February during the match between Veszprém HC Portuguese club Sporting CP, the 39-year old Jesper Madsen suddenly fell over through no fault of his own and remained motionless.

Anxious minutes passed before the referee was taken off the pitch on a stretcher after a lengthy treatment break to the applause of the crowd.

"I was in contact with him during the break, when the doctor and the Veszprém staff were around him and did a lot of different examinations - cardiogram and so on - and there was actually nothing that indicated any serious problems," Mads Hansen revealed in an interview with "TV 2 Sport" afterwards.

On Saturday afternoon, he got very dizzy but managed to sit down himself in the middle of the court. After a lengthy check, he was carried off the court on a stretcher.

Jesper Madsen's condition is currently unknown.

Aalborg won the game against Holstebro 30-29.
