Nikolaj Jacobsen introduced a totally new member to the Danish national team when he announced the squad for the European Championship next year in January.
23-year-old Mads Svane from Bjerringbro-Silkeborg, who has not yet played a single match for the national team, has been selected for the men's handball squad.
Frederik Bo Andersen from HSV Hamburg is also included, and it will be the 27-year-old winger's first final round tournament.
The squad was presented on Thursday by national coach Nikolaj Jacobsen at a press conference in Herning.
Denmark will play its first match on 16 January against Northern Macedonia and will co-host the final round together with Sweden and Norway.

Goalkeepers: Emil Nielsen and Kevin Moller.
Wingers: Emil Jakobsen, Magnus Landin, Johan Hansen, Niclas Kirkelokke and Frederik Bo Andersen.
