Odense Handball have signed the 21-year old German international, Viola Leuchter, from former Champions League contestants HB Ludwigsburg, who recently went bankrupt.

"When the opportunity with Viola arose, we immediately knew it was a player we wanted to try to attract. The club has great faith that Viola will be an important addition both in the short and long term."

"We consider Viola to be a player with great potential who, over time, can become one of the best at her position", says Odense CEO,  Lasse Honoré.

Head coach Jakob Vestergaard is thrilled that Viola has chosen to continue her career at Odense.

"Viola is a right back that I know very well. She has one of the best shots in the world in her position, and at the same time, she is incredibly skilled at working both ways, which is why she also becomes an important piece in strengthening our defense. I am very pleased to get Viola for our squad"

Viola Leuchter herself says about her Odense-transfer

"I am really happy about my move to Odense Handball. It is a big club with big players' ambitions that I am ready to fight for. At the same time, it is also a club with great profiles in the squad that I look forward to meeting.”
