Odense on Sunday afternoon celebrated their sixth win against Krim (30-21) and their biggest win yet to date against the Slovenian side while Buducnost surprised Esbjerg as they claimed their first point of the season with a last-second equalizer in a 34-34 draw.

In Ljubliana, goalkeepers Yara ten Holte and Maja Vojnovic stole all the headlines as they held their lines and both denied over 50 per cent of the shots.

The hosts then had a poor opening to the second half, crammed with attacking mistakes, while Odense scored five successive goals and left no chance for a comeback.

"Of course, in the first half we could have been better in our finishes, but I also think that we in the second half showed the level this team has, so this was quite the perfect ending to the first half of the season", said Odense's Dutch line player Nikita van der Vliet after the game to https://www.eurohandball.com/

Montenegrin outfit Buducnost claimed their first point of the season with a last-gasp equalizer to cap an impressive comeback that left the Danes stunned after last round's 12-goal win in Denmark.

Esbjerg attempted different approaches during the game, but struggled to create the decisive gap and had Buducnost right behind them up until the last moment of the game.

"We were in the lead from the beginning of the match, but we did not manage to finish it in our favour. I am disappointed because we cannot allow ourselves to show two completely different performances when we play at home and away. Today we were not at the level that is expected of us", said Team Esbjerg's leading goalscorer Henny Reistad after the game to https://www.eurohandball.com/
