Odense Handball has signed the 44-year old Norwegian international goalkeeper Katrine Lunde on a contract for the rest of the season. Lunde has been without a club since former Champions League winners Vipers Kristiansand went bankrupt in the beginning of the year.

Katrine Lunde has previously played in the best Danish handball league in a very long career. From 2007 to 2010, Lunde played for Viborg HK, and before that she was first-choice keeper at Aalborg DH.

Since then, she has been under contract with a number of international clubs but now she is ready to continue her career at Odense.

"I am incredibly proud of this opportunity to play on one of the world's best handball teams and I am looking forward to playing my first home game in Sydbank Arena. I am also really looking forward to working with the team and a fantastic goalkeeper team in Odense Handball", says Katrine Lunde.

Sports director at Odense Handball, Trine Nielsen is thrilled to welcome Katrine Lunde at the club.

"I am both happy and proud of this agreement with one of the greatest goalkeepers in our sport."

"Katrine Lunde is a real winning type with enormous experience, which will definitely benefit us for the rest of the season. With the addition of Katrine to our team card, we strengthen our team extensively" says Trine Nielsen to the club's website.
