GOG have signed the 25 year old Swedish international winger Isak Persson, who took part in winning the Champions League trophy last season with German Bundesliga outfit Magdeburg

Isak Persson has signed a two-year contract with GOG beginning next summer.

The strong winger arrives at GOG with a large amount of experience and a constant desire to improve, which has been the background for his decision to leave HK Malmo to join the Danish outfit.

"It will be really fun to be part of a team that plays very attractive and fast handball, and I think it will suit me well."

"For me, it is the right place to be to take the next step in my development. I am very excited to come to the Danish league, which is strong and offers many good matches. I have a clear expectation that with GOG, we will also make our mark in Europe in the coming seasons.

"I can't wait to meet all the players, coaches, and of course all the fantastic GOG fans," says Isak Persson.

Sporting director Mikkel Voigt is also very excited about the addition of the Swedish profile, who he believes has a bright future ahead of him at club and national team level:

“We are really happy to have Isak Persson on board. First of all, despite his young age, he has performed well in three seasons in the Bundesliga and played nine games for the Swedish A-team. With the ambitions Isak expressed in the negotiations before this agreement, I certainly don’t think he has played his last international match for Sweden – quite the opposite."
