Danish international Simon Pytlick hits out at the management of Flensburg-Handewitt after his devotion to the club was put in question by the fans of the club following the news of his transfer to Fuchse Berlin in the summer of 2027.

At the beginning of December, Simon Pytlick announced that he would be leaving Flensburg-Handewitt to join German champions Fuchse Berlin on a three-year contract.

A couple of days later, the club's fans revealed a banner with the text "Nobody is bigger than the club" in connection with the match against Bidasoa Irun in the European League, making a clear reference to Pytlick's transfer.

Today, Pytlick says that he feels let down by the club as they failed to back him up following the criticism from the fans.

"I can't quite understand the banner, and that they think I should feel like I'm bigger than the club. I've never expressed that at any time", says Pytlick to BT.dk

"I think it would have been better for the management to have backed me a little more in the situation and been a little more supportive in terms of how I was feeling. I've had to deal with that myself," says Pytlick, who has felt completely alone in the matter with the fans:

"I've had to deal with those things off the field myself, because there hasn't been that protection from the club around me as a handball player and in the form of fans."

Simon Pytlick is one of the key players in the Danish national team squad who goes into the European Championships as clear favourites when the tournament starts on 15. January.
