Füchse Berlin bounced back from their defeat in the Champions League against Wisla Plock when they cruised to a convincing 36-31 (19-16) home win against SG Flensburg-Handewitt on Sunday to consolidate their third place in the German Handball Bundesliga

For Flensburg it was their first league defeat in seven games. The leading scorer of the game was Füchse professional Tim Freihöfer with twelve goals while Mathias Gidsel scored eight goals and had four assists.

Simon Pytlick again had an excellent game for Flensburg matching Gidsel's eight goals and Mads Mensah as well Emil Jakobsen also put in fine performances for the visitors who, however, was forced to cave in to the pressure from the home side in the final stages of the match.

The home side led by six goals at one point in the first half, but Flensburg cut the deficit to three goals by the break. However, the Foxes then pulled away again in the second half no less thanks to 15 saves by the Serbian goalkeeper Dejan Milosavljev.
