12:30 CET - The first match of the weekend comes from the Premier League, and it is a crucial clash for Liverpool in their hunt to qualify for the Champions League. Arne Slot's side visit Brighton at 13:45 CET with a chance to move within three points of rivals Manchester United after Michael Carrick's side drew at Bournemouth last night. 

The question is whether Liverpool can come close to replicating the dominance and attacking endeavour they showed against Galatasaray in the Champions League midweek or return to the inconsistent performances that have plagued their season so far.

08:00 CET - Before we get stuck into the day's drama, here's a recap of what happened across the top leagues on Friday evening:

Starting in Serie A, Napoli edged Cagliari 1-0 for their fourth straight win to go temporarily second in the standings. Later on, Udinese also won, beating Genoa 2-0 to move into the top half.

In the Premier League, Manchester United were held to an entertaining 2-2 draw by Bournemouth, with Harry Maguire shown a straight red card.

Over in France, Lens went top again thanks to a thumping 5-1 win over Angers, while RB Leipzig similarly thrashed fellow top-four hopefuls Hoffenheim 5-0 in a real statement in the Bundesliga.

Finally, in LaLiga, Villarreal made sure of their status in the Champions League places with a 3-1 win over Real Sociedad.
