The Denver Broncos traded wide receiver Devaughn Vele (27) to the New Orleans Saints on Wednesday.
In return, the Broncos received a 2026 fourth-round pick and a 2027 seventh-round pick as part of the deal.
Vele was drafted in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft by the Broncos. He went on to post 475 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 41 receptions in 12 games (seven starts).
The move comes after fellow 2024 draftee Troy Franklin and rookie Pat Bryant outplayed Vele in camp. Now, he heads to a New Orleans Saints team that is in dire need of solid wide receiver depth.
Vele will sit behind wide receivers Brandin Cooks, Chris Olave, and Rashid Shaheed on the depth chart.
