Reigning World Champion Luke Littler (18) will begin his title defence in the BetMGM Premier League against seven-time champion Michael van Gerwen (35) on the opening night at the SSE Arena in Belfast next month, a rematch of their thrilling World Championship final tussle at the start of the year.

Littler will be aiming to become only the second player in history to successfully defend the Premier League title, a daunting task against a field of the world's elite.

Joining the 18-year-old and the Green Machine will be a star-studded line-up including world number one Luke Humphries, former world champions Rob Cross and Gerwyn Price, and fan favourites Nathan Aspinall, Chris Dobey, and Stephen Bunting.

The format remains unchanged, with eight players competing in 16 mini-tournaments across the UK and Ireland, the Netherlands and Germany.

Each night will see a thrilling knockout format, with players battling through quarter-finals, semi-finals, and a final played over the best of 11 legs.

Points are awarded for each night's performance – five to the winner, three to the runner-up, and two to the semi-finalists – with the top four players in the league table advancing to the coveted Play-Offs at London's O2 Arena.

At the finale in London, the final four will battle it out for the prestigious Premier League crown on Thursday, May 29th.

The prize money for the 2025 edition of the tournament remains at £1 million, and there is a £10,000 bonus to each night's winner.

The outright tournament winner will take home £275,000, while the runner-up will receive £125,000.
