Matthew Kuhnemann, Beau Webster and Sam Konstas are the big winners of Cricket Australia's latest round of contract offers.

The 23-man list was announced by Cricket Australia on Tuesday afternoon ahead of a bumper season that includes the World Test Championship final, an ODI and T20I home series against India, and the marquee five-Test Ashes series against England.

There was no room in the list for rising stars Cooper Connolly or Todd Murphy, nor for more experienced all-rounders Sean Abbott or Aaron Hardie with incumbent Cameron Green soon to return from a long-term injury.

Chairman of Selectors George Bailey had this to say in a press release about the three new additions to the list:

Matt (Kuhnemann) was outstanding once again in Sri Lanka and we believe he can play a key role across the next 18 months.

In Beau’s (Webster) case he proved more than comfortable at Test level with bat and ball, adds an additional dimension in the field and to the balance of the side.

With Cameron Green and Mitch Marsh returning there will be welcome and healthy competition for places for the World Test Championship and West Indies tours.

In Sam (Konstas) we see promising upside in a young player who will continue to develop at first class level and in the international environment.
