Florida Panthers forward Brady Tkachuk was bombarded with boos and heckles in his first game back in Ottawa after being traded. Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Flyers are starting to rebound!

Senators 5-1 Panthers

The Ottawa Senators fans made sure to let their former captain hear it in his first game back. Tkachuk stated that Ottawa was a "special place" for him ahead of tonight's game. But the fans didn't take kindly to their former star player after he admitted he wanted to remain with the Senators long-term before doing a 180 and wanting to play for a "contender", despite the Senators making the Stanley Cup Playoffs last season.

Fans hurled "Brady sucks!" chants before the game started and even threw their Tkachuk jerseys onto the ice as the Canadian Tire Centre was rocking all night.

However, Tkachuk got the first laugh in after he put the Panthers up 1-0 to start the game for his seventh goal of the season, also assisted by his brother Matthew.

Four minutes later, Ottawa's star Tim Stutzle sent the crowd into a frenzy with a goal of his own to tie it 1-1. From there on, it was all Ottawa.

Claude Giroux (2) and Shane Pinto (2) made it 3-1 in the second period, then Warren Foegele (1) and Stephen Halliday (3) both scored short-handed goals in the third to put the game out of reach.

Ottawa outshot Florida in every period, finishing with 29 shots on goal to their 18 as they improved to 7-3-0 on the season. The Senators converted on just one of nine power plays on Wednesday night against Florida, while the latter finished 1-for-5.

Florida dropped to 5-3-2.

Flyers 3-1 Sabres

After starting the season 0-6-3 through their first nine games, the Philadelphia Flyers have now won three straight while scoring three goals in each of their three wins.

Rookie Cole Knuble scored the first two goals of his NHL career, with Trevor Zegras (3) having the other for Philly, to lead them over the Buffalo Sabres. Philly goalie Dan Vladar finished with 27 saves.

After a brutal start to the season for Vladar, who gave up seven goals, three, then five, in his first three starts, he's settled in and looked like himself from last year's Stanley Cup Playoffs. He has given up just four goals in total in his past three starts, not allowing more than two in any of them.

This marks his second straight one-goal start as the Flyers continue to rebound.

Buffalo fell to 4-4-2, having now dropped back-to-back games.
