Denmark kicked off their Sudirman Cup tournament campaign in style and lead India 4-0 on Sunday.

Denmark are without several of their key players at the Badminton World Championships for mixed teams, also known as the Sudirman Cup.

But that did not stop the Danish national team from making an excellent start to the tournament.

On Sunday, Denmark won the opening match against India as they led 4-0 putting themselves itself in a great position in the group, from which the two best teams advance to the quarterfinals.

In addition to India, Denmark will face Indonesia and England in a group that must be described as one of the strongest at the championship in China.

Indonesia won the first edition of the Sudirman Cup back in 1989 and have reached the final six times since. Denmark has never won, but have reached the final twice - most recently in 2011.

Leading up to the tournament, Viktor Axelsen, Mia Blichfeldt, Rasmus Gemke and Frederik Sogaard announced their withdrawal from the World Championships due to injuries.

Nevertheless, the national team rolled over India. Here are the results ot the match against India:
