Lowly ranked English players proved no obstacle for Denmark who recorded their second victory in the Sudirman Cup om Tuesday.

Despite being handicapped by the absence of some of their best players, the Danish badminton team are making strides towards the quarter-finals of the Sudirman Cup, the World Championship for mixed national teams.

After an initial victory over India, the Danes also won their next match against England. The victory was already in the bag after the first three of five matches.

As expected, the lowly ranked English players didn't provide a big challenge for the Danes, who won the match without dropping a set.

The mixed doubles with Jesper Toft and Amalie Magelund started off by defeating Callum Hemming and Estelle van Leeuwen 21-17, 21-10.

Magnus Johannesen had replaced Anders Antonsen in the men's singles and Johannesen had no trouble dismantling Harry Huang, No 95 in the world, 21-13, 21-11.

The newly crowned European champion Line Kjaersfeldt put the icing on the cake against Kirby Ngan, who no longer ranks between the best 1000 players in the world . Kjaersfeldt won 21-8, 21-13.

Although Denmark has already secured their victory, the last two matches must be played.

Kim Astrup and Anders Skaarup will be in action in the men's doubles, while Alexandra Boje and Line Christophersen in the women's doubles will be the last Danish pair in action.

Denmark will play for the group victory on Thursday against Indonesia
