The NFL injury report for Week 12 showcases big names, with some returning and some out for their Sunday matchups.

Wide receiver DeVonta Smith of the Philadelphia Eagles has been ruled out for the team's upcoming game against the Los Angeles Rams with a hamstring injury, making it his second missed game of the season. He missed the team's week four matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers due to a concussion.

Smith has 516 receiving yards this season along with a team-leading four touchdowns and 41 receptions.

Bucs' star receiver is back

Meanwhile, Buccaneers star receiver Mike Evans will be returning to play for the first time since injuring his hamstring against the Baltimore Ravens a month ago. Evans has 26 receptions, 335 receiving yards, and six touchdowns on the season.

Injury bug bites 49ers ahead of Packers matchup

Across the country in San Francisco, starting quarterback Brock Purdy will be a no-go for the team's matchup against the Green Bay Packers due to shoulder discomfort. Backup quarterback Brandon Allen will start in place of Purdy for the NFC matchup. Defensive end Nick Bosa has also been ruled out due to an oblique injury.

And while he hasn't been officially ruled out, left tackle Trent Williams missed practice for a third consecutive day. Other players out for the 49ers include wide receiver Jacob Cowing (concussion), defensive tackle Kevin Givens (groin), linebacker Tatum Bethune (knee) and cornerback Charvarius Ward (not injury related - personal).

Commanders without Lattimore again

Newly acquired cornerback Marshon Lattimore is out for the second straight week for the Washington Commanders while dealing with a hamstring injury. He has yet to practice with the team.

Lattimore and a 2025 fifth-round pick were traded from the New Orleans Saints to the Commanders at the trade deadline this season in exchange for a 2025 third-round pick, fourth-round pick, and sixth-round pick.

Titans place star cornerback on IR

Tennessee Titans starting cornerback L'Jarius Sneed was officially placed on IR due to a quad injury. The corner is in his first year of a four-year $76.4 million contract that he signed with the Titans this past offseason. He hasn't played since the team's week five loss to division-rival Indianapolis Colts

Giants' star players are questionable

Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers (groin) and defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux (wrist) are both questionable against the Buccaneers. Teammates Micah McFadden (heel) and Darius Muasau (hamstring) are also questionable.

Other NFL injury reports

Kansas City Chiefs running back Isaiah Pacheco will remain out with an ankle injury as will teammate Charles Omenihu (knee). Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders is also out with an ankle injury.

Meanwhile, left guard Ryan Bates (concussion) and safety Elijah Hicks (ankle) are out for the Bears but running back D'Andre Swift (groin), wide receiver Keenan Allen (ankle), and left tackle Kiran Amegadjie (calf) are all questionable.

On the other side for the Texans, left tackle Blake Fisher (concussion) and defensive tackle Foley Fatukasi (foot) are both out.

Cornerback Ennis Rakestraw Jr. (Detroit Lions) is out with a hamstring injury while Colts left tackle Bernhard Raimann (knee) is also out for their matchup.
