Los Angeles Chargers running back Gus Edwards (29) will be out for the team's game on Sunday against the New England Patriots with an ankle injury.

The good news, running back J.K. Dobbins could make his return after missing the past four games with a knee injury. He's officially listed as questionable.

Edwards has 365 rushing yards on 101 attempts with four rushing touchdowns this year. He's coming off his best game of the season after putting up 68 yards (14 attempts) and two touchdowns on the ground in a crucial 34-27 win over the rival Denver Broncos

Dobbins was having a career year for the Chargers before leaving the game against the Baltimore Ravens with a knee injury. The former Raven has 766 yards on the ground for the Chargers this season with eight touchdowns.

Backups Kimani Vidal and Hassan Haskins will be game-ready on Sunday. Vidal has 131 yards on the ground this year while Haskins has just 26.

The Chargers (9-6) can clinch a playoff birth with a win over the Patriots (3-12).
