Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram (30) has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to a torn labrum that will require surgery.

Engram originally missed four games earlier this season due to a hamstring injury. Now, with his contract that'll spike to a $14.75 million base salary next season, one has to wonder what will his future hold.

The eight-year veteran had 365 yards and one touchdown on 47 receptions this season for a Jaguars team that's currently one game out of the worst record in the NFL.

The two-time Pro-Bowler has only played two full seasons in his career, coming off a 2023 season where he set career highs in receptions (114, two short of a franchise record), yards (963), and catching percentage (79.7).

Engram previously spent five seasons with the New York Giants before signing a three-year, $41.25 million deal with the Jaguars. His contract will hold a $19.75 million cap hit for next season.

Tight ends Brenton Strange and Luke Farrell will battle it out for the starting spot going forward as the Jaguars head into their Week 15 matchup against the New York Jets
