The third round gets underway at Indian Wells today, with plenty of heavyweight names taking to the court in both the ATP and WTA tournaments.

09:45 CET - We'll be back with a brand new tracker at around 18:00 CET to bring you coverage of the final third-round matches. Join us then, and in the meantime, you can catch up on everything here.

07:53 CET - There were some surprise results in the final men's matches of the day, with young French talent Arthur Fils saving a match point to beat 15th seed Lorenzo Musetti 3-6, 7-6, 6-3 and world number 349 Yosuke Watanuki becoming the lowest-ranked man to reach the last 16 of Indian Wells since 2004 with a 6-4, 7-6 win over 16th seed Frances Tiafoe.

On the women's side, eighth seed Qinwen Zheng won 6-4, 7-5 against Lulu Sun to claim her first consecutive victories of 2025 and progress to the next round.

04:40 CET - It took just over an hour for Mirra Andreeva to get past Clara Tauson 6-3, 6-0 to move on to the fourth round. The world number 11 seldom faced a break point in the match as she won more 70% of her points on both her first and second serves.

03:30 CET - Holger Rune manages to survive Ugo Humbert 5-7, 6-4, 7-5 in a tightly-contested battle. The Dane won 75% of his first serve points, despite hitting 42 unforced errors. The number 12 seed advances to face Stefano Tsitsipas in the next round.

01:35 CET - Elina Svitolina holds off Danielle Collins 6-2, 6-4 in a match tighter than the score might suggest. There were a total of 13 breaks of serve in this match, the Ukrainian responsible for eight of those. While neither served well, Svitolina did win 78% of her first serve points, which proved to be a difference-maker in the match.

23:57 CET - Fourth seed Jessica Pegula was in ruthless form this evening, sweeping aside Xinyu Wang in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1. Despite losing her serve in the first service game of the match, the American quickly recovered, dropping just two games after that. She was efficient in her break chances as well, converting five of seven opportunities.

23:13 CET - Elena Rybakina has eased into the fourth round after a 6-0, 7-5 triumph over Katie Boulter, while Karolina Muchova is also safely through after defeating compatriot Katerina Siniakova 7-5, 6-1.

Meanwhile, on the men's side of the tournament, fifth seed Daniil Medvedev is through after his opponent Alex Michelsen was forced to retire just two games into their third-round clash.

22:24 CET - Stefanos Tsitsipas has produced a big performance to defeat a powerful server in Matteo Berrettini 6-3, 6-3 to cruise into the second week at Indian Wells.

20:55 CET - Back to the women's side of the draw, Marta Kostyuk has avoided any upsets with a comfortable 6-3, 6-3 win over Caroline Dolehide.

20:50 CET - Tommy Paul has made light work of Cam Norrie as he won 6-3, 7-5 to secure his place in the next round.

20:40 CET - Over on the men's side, Tallon Griekspoor has caused a minor upset by beating Giovanni Perricard 7-6 (7-3), 6-3.

20:36 CET - Iga Swiatek has won in doubly quick time to secure her place in the next round of Indian Wells. The world number two defeated Dayana Yastremska 6-0, 6-2 in a dominant win.

18:50 CET - Play is set to get underway in Tennis Paradise in around 10 minutes' time, with Iga Swiatek, Tommy Paul, Marta Kostyuk and Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard taking to court first.

17:15 CET - Good evening and welcome to our coverage of today's tennis at Indian Wells!

Both tournaments move into the third round today as plenty of big names continue their campaigns, including Iga Swiatek, Elena Rybakina and Daniil Medvedev.
