We are entering into the business end of tournaments, as some of the world's best players start to face off in Beijing and Tokyo. Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek are a few of the heavyweight names in action.
17:03 CET - Eighth seed Daniil Medvedev has booked his place in the semi-finals in Beijing with a shock 6-3, 6-3 victory against world number three Alexander Zverev.
14:53 CET - Well, this is really disappointing. Lorenzo Musetti and Qinwen Zheng have both retired from their clashes in Beijing while trailing in their third sets due to injuries, sending Learner Tien and Linda Noskova through, respectively.
Incredibly, there have been FIVE retirements in the Chinese capital today. Are the vigours of a long tennis season catching up to everyone?
13:22 CET - Carlos Alcaraz has come through a huge test by Casper Ruud to reach the final in Tokyo, winning 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.
Ruud produced one of his best matches in a long time to take the first set and make Alcaraz work for the second and deciding set, but the class of the world number one came through in the decisive moments.
12:30 CET - Jessica Pegula has booked her place in the next round in Beijing despite going match point down on three occasions in a second set tiebreak against Emma Raducanu.
After losing the first set and finding herself up against it in the second set tiebreak, the American pulled out some big winners to take a thrilling tiebreak before taking control and winning the deciding set to love.
Pegula won 3-6, 7-6 (11-9), 6-0.
11:38 CET - After a bit of a barren run following a strong start to the season, Anastasia Potapova is into the Beijing last 16, defeating Turkish player Zeynep Sonmez 6-3, 7-5.
10:50 CET - Second seed Taylor Fritz has sealed his spot in the Tokyo final, claiming a comfortable 6-4, 6-3 victory over fellow American Jenson Brooksby. He will face the winner of the match between Carlos Alcaraz and Casper Ruud, which is up next. You can follow that live with Flashscore!
10:00 CET - Sonay Kartal has clinched a mighty impressive win against 19-year-old Maya Joint, downing her out-of-sorts opponent 6-3, 6-2 to cruise into the last 16 in China.
09:44 CET - 2023 champion and top seed in Beijing, Jannik Sinner, survived a major second-set scare from Fabian Marozsan, battling from a break down to clinch a 6-1, 7-5 win and seal his spot in the semi-finals. The Hungarian was, in fact, serving for the second set, leading 5-4.
Alex De Minaur is up next for him, and the head-to-head doesn't make for pretty reading for the Aussie, with Sinner leading it 10-0.
09:22 CET - Incredibly, there has been a third retirement of the day in the Chinese capital, with top seed Iga Swiatek moving through after her opponent, Camila Osorio, picked up an injury. The Pole had won the first set 6-0 and will next face Emma Navarro in the last 16.
08:18 CET - Ukraine's Marta Kostyuk had little issue booking her spot in the Beijing last 16, with the 23rd seed seeing off Aliaksandra Sasnovich 6-4, 6-2 in a little under an hour and 30 minutes.
07:45 CET - Good morning and welcome back to the Tennis Tracker at the start of a new week!
We will look ahead to the day's play in a second, but let's just catch you up on some of the results of the morning so far, as Russian starlet Mirra Andreeva claimed a comfortable 6-4, 6-1 win over Jessica Bouzas Maneiro.
Emma Navarro and Alex De Minaur also progressed after their opponents, Lois Boisson and Jakub Mensis, unfortunately retired from their respective clashes with injury.
Right now, Marta Kostyuk is on court in the Chinese capital, before breakout star Maya Joint and six-time Grand Slam champion Iga Swiatek look to book their spots in the last 16.
A little later on, home favourite Qinwen Zheng plays her second match since returning from a surgery that kept her out of tennis since Wimbledon, while the standout clash of the day sees fifth seed Jessica Pegula come up against former US Open champion Emma Raducanu.
Over on the men's side of the tournament, former champion Jannik Sinner and fellow Italian Lorenzo Musetti continue their quests for the title.
Meanwhile, in a few hours, second seed Alexander Zverev will go head-to-head with Daniil Medvedev in a really intriguing contest.
Finally, moving to Tokyo, it is already semi-final time, as world number one Carlos Alcaraz - who is playing some otherworldly tennis at the moment - meets Casper Ruud. But up first is an all-American affair between Taylor Fritz and Jenson Brooksby.
